Ciggy Suits

Ciggy Suits is a collection of 1971 unique cigarettes in suits, each one tailored with the essence of a different era in cigarette marketing. These aren't just cigs - they are avatars of advertising history.

Defining Traits

Four legendary cigarette brands inspired our assets due to their cultural impact and uniqe branding identity:

  • Silk Cut - British elegance wrapped in regal silk. Silk Cut proved the power of suggestion and it's weight in advertising.
  • Malboro - American masculinity dressed as a cowboy. The Marlboro Man defined an era.
  • Camel - Joe Camel and his “cooler than cool” personality showed that it's all about attitude in getting people hooked on a feeling.
  • Djarum - Nightclubs, goth girls, and a jet-black cig.

Why 1971?

1971 is the year that tobacco advertising was banned from radio and television. This led to a shift in how marketing was done and the way tobacco companies had to promote their products. This project contains 1971 tributes to a bygone era.
